Public Notice for Missouri City Public Water System

The Missouri City Public Water Service, MO 1010532, failed to report to the State of Missouri that notifications were sent to water customers of Missouri City, requiring the reporting of lead service lines, by the deadline of July 1, 2024. Long term exposure to lead in drinking water poses health risks especially to children. No alternative water supplies need to be used at this time. No actions need to be taken at this time. Missouri City Public Water Service is repeating Service Line Inventory notifications annually by mail and printed public notice, including risks of lead in drinking water, and methods to mitigate exposure to lead and will send reports of notifications to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources annually by the July 1st deadline. The Missouri City Public Water System expects to be in compliance by July 1st, 2026. This notice will be posted at the Missouri City Post office, Missouri City School and the MCCA Building.
