Postponed hearings from November 19th, 2025 to present Floodplain Management Ordinance 157 followed by a hearing for a variance request for a proposed detached garage at 711 Shannon St. will be held Monday November 24th, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the MCCA Building 309 Main St. Missouri City, MO 64072
Copies of proposed Floodplain Management Ordinance 157 and existing Floodplain Management Ordinance 142 can be found at the Missouri City Post Office lobby and by emailing Mayor Owen at powen@missouricitymo.gov for review. All interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearings.

Request for copy of Ordinance 142 and proposed Ordinance 157
The City of Missouri City, Missouri held a public hearing on 11/19/25 to read twice and vote on a proposed revised Floodplain Management Ordinance 157. It did not pass after residents expressed concern that the new ordinance was different in ways that could not be compared to the prior Floodplain Ordinance 142. Multiple requests were made to have both ordinances made public to compare. Any resident wanting an electronic file of both ordinances can have a copy by emailing the mayor at powen@missouricitymo.gov and copies of Ordinance 142, proposed Ordinance 157 and the FIRM Flood Insurance Rate Map panel 256 of 350 have been posted at the Post office.

Due to a misunderstanding it was reported in the November minutes that Brian Adcock had resigned his Ward 4 council position. Brian Adcock has not resigned and wishes to continue his representing Ward 4.
