City Council Meeting Agenda
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council will hold a special open meeting at 7:15 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at the MCCA Building following the 7:00 pm Tax Levy Hearing. The only business at hand for the meeting is a final vote on an Ordinance to implement the 1% Sales Tax authorized by the August 6th election.
The next regular monthly meeting is scheduled for 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 12th, 2019, in the MCCA building.
As always, the public is invited to attend.

Attention Missouri City Residents
A proposal to establish a 1% General Sales Tax will be on the ballot Tuesday, August 6th 2019. If passed, a one percent Sales Tax would be collected on commercial sales within the City. It will not impact Personal Property or Real Estate taxes in any way. The City Council believes it would create a small source of revenue for the City and urges the public to support the proposal. Passage of the Sales Tax would only affect one business in town at this time but would be in place for any future growth.
The Council will host a public meeting at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30th, at the MCCA Building to answer any questions or concerns regarding the proposal.
