Old Business
City Hall Door replacement: John Tennant presented his complete bid to replace the front door at City Hall. The proposal for $3,500.00 includes a special order door ($1970.00) to fit the historic 1837 building, plus installation. After discussion, Councilwoman Kohl made a motion to approve the proposal. That motion was seconded by Councilwoman Davis and approved 3-0. Councilman Selle had been excused to leave early prior to the vote.
Fire Station Roof Repairs: Arrangements are being made to obtain a third bid for repairs per Fishing River Fire Protection District requirements.
Ditch Work: Planned ditch work is slated to begin soon. A forty foot plastic culvert has been purchased for the west end of Talley Alley.
Streetlight Repairs and Additions: Mayor Moore will follow up with Evergy for status.
Overgrown Lots: The Mayor is compiling a list of addresses in code violation. When completed, property owners will be notified by letter.
New Business
Questions about e-mailed water bills: Councilwoman Kohl was curious as to why she is unable to save e-mailed water bills. There seem to be many end users in town experiencing erratic internet service so the issue was tabled for future study and discussion.
Community Calendar: Nothing was added to the calendar.
The next monthly meeting was scheduled for 6:30 pm on Monday, January 8th, 2024, at the MCCA Building.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Monte Railey – City Clerk
