Minutes of 8/14/17 Public Tax Levy Hearing by Missouri City, MO. City Council
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 6:00 pm on August 16th, 2016, at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2017 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Treasurer Lisa Webber, Clerk Monte Railey and Council members Sydney Stewart, Rockne Gross and Micah Schake. Councilmaj Joe Selle was absent. Wilbur Webber also attended.
The State of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.89 per $100.00 assessment. Councilman Rockne Gross made a motion to adopt Ordinance #2017 to set the 2017 levy at $.8702, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilman Councilwoman Sydney Stewart seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 4-0.
