Minutes of March 14th, 2022, Council Meeting
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council held their monthly open meeting at the MCCA Building on Monday, March 14, 2022, at 7:00 pm. Attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Clerk Monte Railey, Collector Brandon Gray, Council members Joe Selle, Rocky Gross and Brian Adcock. Councilman Mickey Stewart was absent.
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order. February 16th meeting minutes were read and approved.

Councilman Gross made a motion to authorize payment of bills that was seconded by Councilman Adcock. The motion passed by a vote of 3-0.
Old Business
Local Patrol – Deputy Caleb Nelson stopped by briefly to discuss local patrol issues. The Mayor, Council and Deputy agreed on priorities in dealing with properties in violation of nuisance ordinances.
Water Project: Final bills have been paid. The USDA Project Closing Hearing is tentatively scheduled for the week of April 18th. Construction areas needing additional gravel have been identified and grass seed will be provided by the contractor for any bare spots. The Council authorized Joe Selle to order gravel and straw to prepare for the final work needed.
Boring under Highway M210: No bids have yet been received as plans are still incomplete.
Brandon Gray provided water collection status to the Council.
American Rescue Plan Act: The City was awarded $18,506.25 in NEU Covid Relief Funds on February 24th, 2022 via the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) per an e-mail from the State of Missouri. It was refenced as “the first” payment but full details of the award are not yet known. The award was deposited in the City’s General Fund account. The Council briefly discussed possible plans for the funds but tabled the issue for more study.
New Business
The City Clerk reported on calls and mail received to determine if further action is necessary.
The next monthly meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 13th, 2022, at 7:00 pm in the MCCA Building.
