Minutes of March 3, 2026 Missouri City Missouri Planning & Zoning Commission
The Missouri City Missouri Planning & Zoning Commission met on
Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 6:30 pm in the MCCA Building. In attendance:
Chairman Robert Jeffries, Mayor Woody Owen, Teresa McKown, Mason
McGilton, John Tennant, Brian Adcock and Clerk Monte Railey. Barbara
Jackson, Jake Polys and Ryan Abbett were absent.
Chairman Jeffries called the meeting to order. The December meeting was
canceled due to inclement weather so minutes of the last meeting, held
September 2nd, 2025, were read and approved.
Old Business: The commission examined city maps provided by
Clay County Mapping. Known business, industrial, agriculture and
residential areas were identified. This information will be used along with
searching for past records to update a master plan for the city and a
zoning map. No zoning decisions will be made until a public hearing is
scheduled.
New Business: by a vote of 6-0, the Commission decided to change
meetings from quarterly to bi-monthly starting in May. The next meeting is
scheduled for Tuesday, May, 5, 2026, at 6:30 pm in the MCCA Building.
