The City of Missouri City is finalizing a plan to upgrade our outdated 1960’s water system. In accordance with this plan, new policy has been passed. It is also necessary to increase water rates to bring them to the level needed to support the cost of the entire water project, which will cover the entire community. Councilman Rocky Gross will distribute “bat houses” at the July 13th, 2020, Council meeting. Bats are known for natural insect control. One bat can consume up to one thousand flying insects (including Mosquitos, Moths and Beetles) per hour on a summer evening.

The use of fireworks will be allowed in town from June 27th through July 7th 2020, EXCEPT on School property. Discharging fireworks at the School is never allowed. Please observe safe practices and courtesy to others during this period.
