Minutes of 8/20/19 Public Tax Levy Hearing by Missouri City, MO. City Council
The Missouri City, Missouri, City Council met at 7:00 pm on August 20th, 2019, at the MCCA Building for a public hearing to establish the 2019 city tax levy. Those attending: Mayor Barry Moore, Clerk Monte Railey, Treasurer Lindsay Eppley and Council members Sydney Stewart, Rockne Gross and Joe Selle. Councilman Micah Schake was absent. Resident Cassidy Russell also attended.
The State of Missouri set the tax ceiling at $.8761 per $100.00 assessment. Councilman Rockne Gross made a motion to adopt Ordinance #2019 to set the 2018 levy at $.8761, or as modified by the Hancock Amendment Rollback Form RSMO 137.138. Councilwoman Sydney Stewart seconded the motion. The motion passed by a vote of 3-0.
