Minutes of May 17th, 2017, Council Meeting
The Missouri City, Missouri City Council held their monthly open meeting at the MCCA Building on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 at 6:30 pm. Attending: Mayor Barry Moore, City Treasurer Lisa Webber, City Clerk Monte Railey, Water Bill Collector Brandon Gray and Council members Micah Schake, Sydney Stewart , Joe Selle and Rocky Gross.
Mayor Moore called the meeting to order.
Minutes from the April 10, 2017, meeting and April 2017 financial reports were read and approved.
Bills to be allowed (paid May 17th, 2017, unless noted otherwise)
General Funds
(4/20/17) KCP&L – $687.23 April invoice four city accounts
(4/20/17) Waste Management – $150.00 balance of adjusted bill for recycle roll off
Dep. David Allen – $299.22 twelve hours of April patrol
Clay County Sheriff’s Dept. – $52.97 fuel for April patrol (99 miles)
Monte Railey – $220.43 May City Clerk salary
Joe Selle – $411.87 for 40 hours of city work
Bill Slater – $20.00 cleaning MCCA Building on 4/1/17 & 48/17
Karen Ball – $250.00 for 2016 audit
Waste Management – $380.00 three dumpsters for 2017 Spring clean up
KCP&L – $676.67 May invoice for four city accounts

(5/8/17) Kearney Trust Co. – $331.90 interest on water project credit line through 4/24/17
(5/8/17) PWSD #4 – $1615.95 water from 3/27/17-4/28/17
(5/10/17) United State Postal Service (USPS) – $136.00 postage for utility bills
Deffenbaugh Industries – $1,815.00 April trash pick up
Lisa Webber – $403.65 May salary City Treasurer
Brandon Gray – $241.55 May salary Water Bill Collector
James Talley Jr – $272.07 May salary Meter Reader plus 40.00 in/out fees
Brandon Gray – $51.48 five hours of additional collection activity
Councilman Gross made a motion to authorize payments. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schake and carried 4-0.
Due to a scheduling conflict at the MCCA Building, all “OLD” and “NEW” business was postponed until June meeting and the meeting adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for 6:30 pm on Monday, June 12, 2017, at the MCCA Building.
